Hey there — I’m Ashley!
Over the past decade, I've worn many hats and held numerous titles. From being a student and a professional to a mentor and a traveler, each role has shaped and defined my journey in unique ways. These experiences have enriched my life and provided me with a tapestry of narratives. Yet, despite the diversity of these roles, one title consistently resonates with me: I am a storyteller!
Stories have the power to evoke emotions, spark imaginations, and foster connections. They can be a source of comfort and understanding, offering new insights into the human experience. Through storytelling, I’ve learned to appreciate the nuances of life and the beauty of diverse perspectives. Each story I get to tell is a reflection of my client’s journey, my own, and an invitation for others to share theirs.
My artistic path began in middle school with my involvement in choir, a passion I continued to develop during my college years. I toured extensively through Arizona and Southern California and was an active member of the University of Arizona’s Honor, University, and Community Choirs. While studying, I also pursued a minor in music business, broadening my understanding of the entertainment industry. My senior year, I worked alongside musicians at the Fred Fox School of Music and up-and-coming artists throughout the United States, helping them to enhance their personal brands and digital identities. My plan after college was to move to Nashville to pursue a career in Artist and Repertoire (A&R). But when does life ever go according to plan?
In 2016, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and shortly after landed an internship with the Disney College Program at the Disneyland Resort; fulfilling a dream I had since I was a child that I absolutely could not turn down. This nine-month experience offered valuable insights into the industry and significantly enriched my appreciation for Disney's storytelling techniques, which I still weave into every single one of my projects.
My experience at Disney was life-changing and being a part of the nostalgia that I grew up obsessed with became a part of my own brand — that’s why in almost every piece I create, you’ll always find either a second star to the right or a hidden mickey!
Since my time at Walt’s park, I’ve had the honor of working with individuals and small businesses on projects ranging from rebranding and design; to marketing, web development, copywriting, and even building entire departments from scratch.
Beyond my professional work, I am a HUGE advocate for physical and mental health (after all, I did get my degree in psychology!) I spent five years as a CrossFit Trainer, motivating individuals of all ages and even co-owned a CrossFit Affiliate for a short time. That’s again when storytelling comes in, being able to sit with people, learn their stories, and give them the tools to bring balance to their lives.
In addition to all that — I love dogs, coffee, yoga, adventures, hiking, reading, and Peloton bay-beeee!
